You bring happiness; I’ll carry warmth. And so, we’ll begin our journey of forever, dipped in effervescence and blithely in love.
The evening was blooming with colourful shades in Karur, and I had made my way to Vasudaa’s paternal home. Her loved ones were all immersed in deep joy, enjoying the sweet rituals that were ringing in one after the other. Gifts were offered, and blessings were sought before everyone moved to Atlas Kalairangam to kickstart the celebration. The vibrant wedding reception lasted well into the night, where a glowing Vasudaa and a vivacious Harsan joined all their loved ones for a mirthful ceremony.
The next dawn brought with it the preparations for the big day. The air was still quiet and driven by pleasant breezes when Vasudaa began adorning her fine wedding attire. In the next room, Harsan was anticipating the day in a sweet nervousness as he, too, dressed up. Back at Kalairangam, soft traditional music and the chatter of happy relatives had already taken over. As the hours passed, the bride and groom stepped into the venue with quite the fanfare. And thus, with hearty smiles and gestures, the two families celebrated the couple’s union in a beautiful conclave that I was privileged to capture. If you’re looking at these pictures, you might agree that wedding days are forever treasured. Not only for the joy they bring with their arrival but for how they make one feel long after the day and year have passed. As a photographer, it fulfils my heart to be able to freeze these pristine moments into permanence. And as I look back at these photographs, I can’t help but think— isn’t love the most beautiful thing in the world?
