Today, we begin the journey of love– two rings exchanged, two souls united.
The colourful town of Jangareddygudem seemed to have woken up to a ring of celebration. It was a lovely April day, marked by wisps of Spring, warm sunshine, and all things bright and vibrant. I was there to document the Indian engagement ceremony of Yaswanth and Jayasri, a sweet duo with the most blithe families. The ceremonies chimed in after sunset, as the sun had finished its journey across the day. A gleeful Jayasri engaged in banter with her friends and cousins, while on the other, a poised Yaswanth welcomed the merriment with his dear ones. And then, a series of dainty rituals made way for utterly loving and happy moments, marking all the grace on this Indian engagement photoshoot.
Soon, it was time for the big moment. Yaswanth and Jayasri’s Indian engagement ring ceremony brought confetti of colours, laughter, music, and dance, enveloping everyone present in relentless mirth. Along with the sparkly diamonds, the couples exchanged a mala of fresh roses and a vow of forever. Their glimmering eyes stood testament to their love. The party continued well into the night, as the friends and family all rejoiced under an array of twinkling stars in that little pocket of Andhra. However, the best moments were yet to come. As the fanfare receded and the guests all made their way back home, I stole a few peaceful moments to craft their Indian engagement photos with the couple. Jayasri and Yaswanth spent a few tender minutes under that starry sky, taking in the sweet fragrance of roses and the warmth from the glowing lights that decorated the venue. And thus, we ended the night on the most graceful note, with the couple celebrating their companionship through a final few portraits they will cherish for years to come.
