Saree Ceremony of Aadhya in Bangalore

It was a bright spring morning in Bengaluru city when I made my way to the Chamara Vajra Mukta for a doting celebration. The air was filled with the fragrance of blooming marigolds, and the joyous chatter of excited guests added to its sweet rhythm. This was a special occasion in young Aadhya’s life as she commenced the two-day celebration of her half saree ceremony.
Day one began with a heartwarming Haldi, where friends and family gathered dressed in their finest yellow attires. Eager to partake in the festivities, little Aadhya donned a graceful gold and white dress with delicate floral jewellery that added to her innocent charm. Some folk performances of dandiya raas were followed by a splashing Haldi, where the elders all caressed Aadhya with the holy turmeric concoction and bountiful blessings. The pre saree ceremony in Bangalore ended with relatives all splashed with Aadhya’s adorable water gun attacks, and the brightest smiles painted all over their faces.
Dusk brought with it a glamorous mehendi and sangeet celebration. The evening began with the ladies getting their dainty hands painted fragrant with henna. Aadhya, in her sparkling pastel green attire, also honoured the festivities with some floral mehendi. Soon, it was time for some music, dance, and storytelling. The crowd cheered as Aadhya’s loved ones took the dance floor as an ode to her adolescent journey. The little star of the evening wooed everyone with her dance moves next, making the pre half saree ceremony in Bangalore a memorable occasion for all.
As the evening wound down, Aadhya's face glowed with happiness and contentment, surrounded by the love and warmth of family and friends. The first day of the saree ceremony thus concluded with love, laughter, and a sumptuous feast marking the beginning of a new chapter in Aadhya's journey.
