Like the gentle waves kissing the shore, our love continues to flow, a constant, soothing presence in the ever-changing tides of life.

As dawn broke over Chennai, the city awoke to a symphony of fragrant jasmine blossoms, melodious chatter of street vendors, and a soft caress of dawn on its tranquil shores. And somewhere in the heart of the city, Mr and Mrs Muthu were preparing to celebrate their holy union by reliving their wedding celebrations with friends and family. As the morning light broke through the canopy of coconut and palm trees, it cast an enchanting golden hue on Theerth, the humble abode of the 25th wedding anniversary couple.

The sound of classical ragas wafted around as the air carried the scent of fresh moringas and roses that cladded the traditional Tamilian home. And amidst a petite ocean of smiling faces and praying hands, there was the graceful couple, decked in resplendent hues of red, gold, and white, taking in each moment of their traditional wedding anniversary celebration.

The clock gently ticked away, and it was time to carry the party to the beachfront. By the shore and in the soft embrace of golden sands, a bohemian set up invited us to party the evening away. As the women painted each other’s hands with henna and the men chatted, Mr and Mrs Muthu decided to take a nonchalant walk by the ocean. Adding oblivious grace to my wedding anniversary photography, the couple walked hand in hand, exchanging banter and celebrating the little joys of life.

Soon enough, twilight brought with it fireworks, cake, and a pop of champagne. And so, with their feet in the sand and the night filled with music and dance, the couple celebrated not only the silver threads of their enduring love, but everything that came with it– their children, families, and memories alike. In the background, the waves whispered their secrets to the shore, making this Chennai wedding anniversary shoot all the more memorable for me.
