Under your arms, the world fades away. That’s where I want to be forever.

Hyderabad was still waking up to a pleasant dawn when I made my way to an archaic temple in Ammapally with Anisha and Rohit. Dating back to the 12th century, the sacred temple gave an old-world vibe, making the morning even more holy and tranquil. This location was close to the couple’s heart because just a few days later, they would tie the blessed knot here. As we stepped into the temple grounds, the air was alive with the chatter of children playing in nearby alleys and the occasional ring of the temple bell. And under a rustic setting, there were the bride and groom to be, bringing the place a burst of colour and happiness with their loving presence. As I captured their moments of togetherness, they chuckled at inside jokes and enjoyed each others’ company, and it all looked like a prelude to a beautiful love story.

As the sun proceeded further up in the sky, we made our way to a farmhouse on the quaint outskirts of the bustling city. To mark the upcoming big day’s celebration, their friends joined them, keeping the atmosphere lively with chatter, songs, and tales of their love. There was effortless dancing, walks in the golden fields around, and more moments of affection as the day moved ahead. And when the night took over, they toasted to the blissful days that lay ahead. As I look back now, I think of how swiftly the evening had unfolded, in an almost dreamlike manner. It made me love life a little more, brushed as I was by the surplus of tenderness, warmth, and glee.
