A blithely you, a delighted me, and these precious moments spent with our loved ones. What more could I ask from our holy union?

Some weddings are so joyful that your heart sings in merriment throughout their entirety. Lakshmi and Rajani Kanth had one such celebration, which bloomed over a convivial four days in the presence of all their loved ones. The first day came with a bounty of colours and devotion, a holy beginning to the merriment that would gracefully unfold. Bale Shastra and Haldi were held along with many sweet auspicious pujas, and the day wrapped itself at dusk to the chatter of a family union. The next celebration brought with it henna-dipped hands and delicate smiles as the women gathered at both Lakshmi and Rajani Kanth’s house for Mehndi. While the ebullient bride got her hands painted, her friends and family all took centre stage with music, dance, and anecdotes.

The next day, morning blossomed in vibrance and grace as the bride and the groom made their way to the Tamarind Tree for the day’s ceremonies. Many beautiful moments spun throughout, as rings were exchanged, dances were performed, and radiant family portraits were taken. And thus, immersed in ceaseless merrymaking, everyone made way for the big day. Dawn witnessed Lakshmi at her most graceful, as she put on her gorgeous gold-and-pink attire and sought blessings from the Gods and the elderly. At the same hour, Rajni Kanth donned a silken kurta and the brightest smiles, anticipating all the happiness that awaited. The sun was still coming up on Tamarind Tree when the couple entered the tree-cocooned mandap, embellished with flowers in alluring shades of magenta & white. In the hours that followed, the wedding rituals brushed everyone’s heart with an unbound love, glimpses of which often shimmered in their eyes. And soon enough, the night approached, and it was time for the final get-together. Lakshmi wooed everyone with her elegant look as a newly-wed bride during the wedding reception, as she flaunted her vibrant red saree bedecked with splendid diamond jewellery. Rajani Kanth complimented her with an equally royal sherwani in the hues of red and maroon. And together, the gorgeous couple met with their loved ones for one final joyride, as they toasted to the many wonderful adventures to come.
