It was a tale of love and all that a happy marriage is. A happily-ever-after embellished with silver wedding anniversary’s bliss.

Dusk was approaching the skies of Chennai with a magical tryst, and the city on the shore was gradually surrendering to evening’s charm. I found myself strolling the palatial milieus of ITC Grand Chola, Chennai’s ornate tribute to Southern India’s glorious Chola empire. I was there to capture the silver wedding anniversary bash of Mr and Mrs Muthu, a cherry on the cake of their two-day celebration. While the first day arrived with worship and a serene sundowner by the beach, the party extended to another glorious evening filled with music and merriment.

As the warm hues of the sun painted the sky in oranges and pinks, a delighted Mrs Muthu clad herself in a delicate fuschia lehenga. Mr Muthu had also dressed to the nines in a royal blue suit, and together, the couple shone regally in anticipation of their wedding anniversary celebration. The evening began with a few heartwarming portraits in the hall, decked with delicate roses and pastel peach decor. Soon enough, it was time to greet gleeful family members and friends, and the air now chimed with their sweet laughter.

The happy bunch cheered on Mr and Mrs Muthu as they exchanged delicate pink garlands, shared a delectable cake, and popped the champagne to ring in the party. Live music performances ensued, followed by mandatory dancing and camera posing. Before we knew it, the evening arrived at its glorious finale. The guests were all on the dance floor, their hearts brimming with joy and their lips abuzz with singing and laughter.

Mr and Mrs Muthu’s two-day wedding anniversary celebration in Chennai brought us all impeccable beauty, joy, and glamour. Gracefully enveloped in the two-day commemoration, I found a brilliant example of living life to the fullest. While capturing heartfelt wedding ceremonies instils the budding euphoria of love, wedding anniversary celebrations are poignant reminders of the finest things in life. At the end of the two-day bash, I felt immensely grateful for my art, which allows me to capture some of life's most memorable moments. To live is truly magnificent, isn't it?
